The extension of the library would provide additional 2,080 sq.m as a student commons. With the concept of open-plan garden landscape with different ‘follies’ as spatial anchors and clusters of study tables, students can always find a space that suits their study needs. The balcony and indoor rooms with skylights creates a sense of connection to the outdoors throughout the whole space. A series of ‘follies’, which are custom made furniture with different structural language, are developed to provide anchors in the vast studyscape.
